Smells Like Bean Spirit
Smells Like Bean Spirit is the third of four sitcoms premiering on Iris this week. These sitcoms are a joint effort between the acting, comedy, theatre and film cohorts. This week’s selection comes from the Class of 2022 and every one is set in a cafe following a host of colourful characters. Smells Like Bean Spirit follows cafe owner Norman as he contends with witless waitresses and kooky customers all in the hopes of impressing his good friend Kiel, a would-be shaman from the Himalayas. You won’t want to miss this one.
Dirty Single Cafe
Dirty Single Cafe is the second of four sitcoms premiering on Iris this week. These sitcoms are a joint effort between the acting, comedy, theatre and film cohorts. This week’s selection comes from the Class of 2022 and every one is set in a cafe following a host of colourful characters. Today’s episode is called the Dirty Single Cafe, and follows the workers of the eponymous establishment. Stuffy critics, braindead baristas and idiot influencers take centre stage in this show with a twist that will leave you wanting more.
From Earth To Kiln
From Earth To Kiln is the third project from Bath Spa’s 2022 documentary module to be premiered on Iris. From Earth To Kiln takes you on a journey through the history of pottery. From its integral place in ancient Greek society to the more modern use of pottery as a form of therapy, the history of pottery is almost as long as that of humanity. From Earth To Kiln is a revealing look at how the ancient artform can bring us together in many diverse and unique ways.
Life on the Streets
Life on the Streets is another of the Class of 2022’s selection of documentaries. Focusing this time on the homelessness epidemic in Bath, Life On The Streets is a poignant, touching take on an issue that is often closer to home than we realise. Featuring interviews with local homeless people and with charities seeking to help the issue, this documentary goes in depth on one of society’s biggest issues.
